Charlie Beauchamp
Charlie Beauchamp is a retired engineer, who worked for 45 years as in research, development, and design. He obtained a B.Ch.E. for University of Delaware in 1970, and a M.S. in Ocean Engineering from University of Rhode Island in 1978. He worked for 4 years in catalyst manufacturing, and then work for 11 years for several companies supporting the electric power industry. The last 30 years of his career were at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI, working on the development of Unmanned Undersea Vehicle. In addition to supporting Habitat for Humanity, Charlie is Chairman of the Seekonk Energy Committee, and he was part of a pet therapy program, where he would take his best friend, Rupert, a black lab mix, to local hospitals. Charlie continues to volunteer at Miriam Hospital.
