What if I am under 18?

• All minors under the age of 18 must have an adult with them on the construction site at all times. There are exceptions for minors enrolled in a work-study program.
• Children 16+ may perform general construction work, but may not engage in anything hazardous including such activities as using power tools, motor vehicles, demolition, excavation, roofing, or anything working from a height of 6′ or more. There are exceptions for minors enrolled in a work-study program.
• Children 14 years and older may volunteer to help out with activities such as clearing lots, landscaping, and painting.
