Volunteer Application - Buzzards Bay Area Habitat for Humanity

Building: Identifying vocational skills, soliciting for building materials, and managing storage.

Church Relations: Being a spokesman for Habitat in your church, fundraising, and soliciting volunteers.

Family Partner: Assisting and counseling new home owners on financial planning, maintenance, and all other aspects of home ownership. Possibly doing home visits.

Family Selection: Interviewing applicants and researching their applications. Selecting families and presenting the selection to the Board.

Fund Raising: Planning and coordinating activities to raise money.

Corporate & Grant Writing: Partnering with businesses, banks, and developers for volunteer support and contributions.

Legal & Finance: Reviewing financial statements/reports/budgets and advising Board on all legal matters. Assisting site committee with title search on properties.

Public Relations: Building relationships with local newspapers, cable, radio and informing them of our mission and events. Being responsible for newsletters, brochures and flyers. Keeping photographic records of events.

Site: Working with local towns, contractors, realtors, developers, and banks to obtain properties.

Volunteer: Recruiting and coordinating volunteers for projects.
